WHO WE ARE
Jo Rackliff, a Bluffton native and photographer, met Todd, a friendly chef from Maine, and they instantly clicked over their love of good food and community. You can find them all around the Lowcountry, trying restaurants in Bluffton, Hilton Head, Ridgeland, and Beaufort, always looking for new flavors and inspiration. Todd started cooking in his family's restaurants and later trained at culinary school, while Jo brought her creative eye and strong local roots. In 2010, they opened The Sugaree: a warm and welcoming place where people feel right at home.

Todd creates our freshly made sandwiches with quality ingredients and homemade touches, from fresh bagels to house-made pastries. Start your morning with a classic breakfast sandwich or enjoy our hearty lunch options including the popular Caprese Grilled Cheese and our signature Lobster Roll made with fresh lobster imported directly from Todd's home state of Maine.
